BSX STUFF - Our User Newsletter
Summer 1991 - Vol. 1 No. 1
Welcome to our first edition of BSX STUFF. We'll include this
letter in every set of catalog docs that comes with our products.
It's a short two pages, but it is packed with up to date BSX news
and trivia. Every season we'll have a new one available. If you
miss a copy, just send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope and
we'll be glad to send it to you. (Please specify which copy,
though.)
New Products -
We're always trying to provide users with the lastest and greatest
versions of our software, and some new stuff too. Sometimes we
succeed. In this case:
DARNIT 11.0 - Solitaire like it oughta be.
Released July 1991. Darnit 11.0 is the latest, greatest version of
the most popular BSX International card game. It's an electronic
version of King's Corner solitaire. A real challenge, addictive,
frustrating, and more fun than a barrel of used ball bearings. If
you wanna see a PC card game done right, look no further! NOTE:
THIS IS NOT "KLONDIKE" SOLITAIRE. THIS IS A UNIQUE GAME!!!
DISSED - The Adventure Begins.
Dissed 1.0 will be our first true adventure game. It's not about
princesses or dragons or elves, but about what life would be like
for a single guy, twenty years from now. We played Sierra's Leisure
Suit game and decided it was too much like all the other adventure
games where you had to solve a puzzle, but it was close to what an
interactive adventure should be. We brainstormed for months trying
to come up with subject matter; should we do a "space" adventure or
something, but settled on trying to imagine ourselves, at our
present ages, twenty odd years from now. The thing we immediately
agreed on was that it wouldn't be a "puzzle". You don't have to
have the magic sword to enter the castle. You can play through a
complete story at every sitting, and it'll be different everytime,
if you choose different options. To begin your adventure, you just
point your mouse at the options we present, and you begin life over
in the year 2011.
Dissed was conceived in October '90 and has changed little. The
first working code has been in existence since December '90. It's
such a bold concept that the database that makes up the adventure
has been several months in the making. We're confident that you'll
enjoy the game when we finally finish it. We're not confident that
you'll see it before next October. More about it in our Fall issue
of STUFF.

Hi! I'm Bob Roberds, and you're not. Just like to say that 1991
promises to keep being a red-letter year for BSX International.
Look for new versions of your fave BSX products, as well as the
eagerly-awaited Dissed. You'll have a Yabba-Dabba-Doo Time, see
